Overview
Technical SEO is the layer that decides whether everything else you do can work. If Google cannot crawl a page, cannot render it, or cannot tell which version is canonical, no amount of content or links will compensate.
Because we are a build shop as well as an SEO shop, the audit and the fix are the same team. Crawl and index control, rendering, speed, structured data and architecture are diagnosed and then corrected in the codebase — not handed to your developer as a list of recommendations.
This is also the work that protects you during change. Redesigns, platform migrations and domain moves are where rankings are most often lost, and almost always for technical reasons that were preventable.
What you get
Everything below is included in a standard engagement — no line items that appear later.
Crawl & index audit
Full crawl of the site, reconciliation against Search Console's index report, and a clear map of what is indexed, what is excluded and why.
Core Web Vitals
LCP, INP and CLS measured on real templates, then fixed at the source: images, fonts, scripts and layout — not masked with plugins.
Rendering & JavaScript
Verification that critical content, links and metadata exist in the served HTML, not only after client-side hydration.
Structured data
Schema that matches visible content — Organization, Service, BreadcrumbList and more — validated for syntax, factual consistency and eligibility.
Canonicals, redirects & duplicates
Canonical strategy, redirect maps and parameter rules that consolidate ranking signals instead of splitting them across URL variants.
Migration planning
URL inventories, redirect mapping and post-launch monitoring for redesigns, platform moves and domain changes.
Transparent pricing
How much does SEO cost?
Ongoing SEO retainers run $1,000 to $5,000 per month depending on how competitive the market is and how much content and technical work each month requires. One-off audits are $1,500 to $4,000. We do not sell packages priced by a fixed number of keywords, because the work that moves rankings is rarely evenly distributed.

How we work
Crawl & baseline
We crawl the site the way Google does, pull Search Console's index and query data, and establish what is actually happening — not what the CMS reports say.
Prioritised fix list
Every finding ranked by impact and effort, in plain language. You see the list whether or not we are the ones who implement it.
Fix in the codebase
Our developers ship the corrections: templates, headers, redirects, schema and performance work, tested before deployment.
Verify & monitor
Re-crawl, validate against Search Console, and watch the index and query data for the following weeks to confirm the fixes landed.
How we differ
A fair comparison against how this work is commonly delivered.
| Feature | Algorank | Typical alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Reporting | Rankings, enquiries and revenue impact | Traffic charts only |
| Content | Written against real query data | Word-count driven blogging |
| Technical work | Fixed in the codebase by the build team | Recommended to your developer |
| Links | Earned, relevant, disclosed | Bought networks and directories |
| Contract | Month to month after 90 days | 12-month lock-in |
A good fit if
- Your customers search before they buy, and the jobs are worth having
- You can commit to at least six months — organic gains compound slowly
- You are willing to let us change the site, not just advise on it
Probably not for you if
- You need leads this week and nothing is running — start with paid
- You want guaranteed number-one rankings, which nobody can honestly promise
- Your product has no meaningful search demand yet
If that is you, say so on the call — we will tell you straight and point you somewhere better.
From experience
The mistakes that cost the most.
Judging SEO by traffic instead of enquiries
Rankings for terms nobody buys from will grow a chart and not a business. We report on the queries that produce calls and forms, and we are content to lose vanity impressions.
Publishing volume instead of answers
Twelve thin posts a month will not outrank one page that genuinely answers the query better than anything currently ranking. Depth compounds; filler decays.
Ignoring the technical side because it is invisible
Slow templates, duplicate URLs, broken canonicals and orphaned pages cap how far content can take you. Because we build sites, these get fixed in the code rather than emailed to someone else.
Buying links
Purchased networks and low-quality directories are a liability that eventually needs cleaning up. Earned coverage is slower and does not evaporate at the next update.

Questions
Still unsure? Call +1 (613) 416-9512 and speak to the person who would run the project.
How do I know if I have technical SEO problems?
+
Common signs: pages stuck out of the index, Search Console coverage errors, rankings that collapsed after a redesign, or slow mobile scores that never improve. A crawl and an index report comparison answers it definitively.
What does a technical SEO audit cost?
+
A focused audit for a small or mid-size site typically runs $1,500 to $4,000 depending on page count and platform. Larger or e-commerce sites are quoted after a scoping call. Implementation is quoted separately or folded into a care plan.
Can you fix the issues, or do you only report them?
+
We fix them. Algorank is a development shop, so the audit and the implementation are the same team — no hand-off, no lost context.
Will a website redesign hurt my rankings?
+
It does not have to. Rankings are lost in migrations when URLs change without redirects, content is thinned, or metadata is dropped. We inventory every ranking URL and preserve or redirect each one before launch.
How long do technical fixes take to show results?
+
Indexation and canonical fixes can show within days to weeks once Google re-crawls. Speed and architecture improvements compound over one to three months.
