Identity delivered as build-ready CSS
Overview
Most rebrands fail on application, not on the logo. The mark looks good in a presentation and then falls apart on a work van, a business card, an invoice header and a mobile navigation bar. We design identities by testing them where they will actually live.
Because we build the website too, branding decisions are made with the front end in mind: type that renders well on screen, colours that pass contrast requirements, and a system that becomes real design tokens instead of a PDF nobody opens.
For established businesses, we are usually careful rather than radical. If your name already carries recognition in Ottawa, the work is to sharpen it — not to erase twenty years of equity for a trend.
What you get
Everything below is included in a standard engagement — no line items that appear later.
Logo and wordmark
Primary mark, secondary lockups, monogram and favicon, delivered in vector and web formats with clear-space and minimum-size rules.
Visual identity system
Colour palette with accessible contrast pairs, type scale, iconography, photographic direction and layout principles.
Brand guidelines
A short, usable document your printer, signage shop and staff can follow — not a 90-page manual that gets ignored.
Print and physical collateral
Business cards, stationery, quote and invoice templates, brochures, signage, vehicle graphics and trade-show material.
Social and ad templates
Editable templates for posts, stories and paid creative so campaigns stay recognisable without a designer in the loop every week.
Design tokens for the build
The identity handed over as CSS variables and components, so the website is the brand rather than an interpretation of it.
Transparent pricing
How much does branding cost?
A focused logo and identity package runs $2,500 to $6,000. A full identity with print, signage and vehicle graphics generally lands between $6,000 and $15,000. Bundled with a website build, discovery is shared, which reduces the combined cost.
$2,500 – $6,000
New businesses and dated logos that need sharpening.
- Logo, lockups and favicon
- Colour and type system
- Short brand guidelines
- Vector source files
$6,000 – $15,000
Established firms rolling the brand across physical and digital touchpoints.
- Everything in essentials
- Print and stationery
- Signage and vehicle graphics
- Social and ad templates
- Design tokens for the build
What moves the price
- Number of applications: print, signage, vehicles, uniforms
- Whether photography needs to be art-directed or shot
- How many stakeholders review each round
- Whether the business name or domain is also changing
How we work
Position first
Who buys, what they compare you against, and the one thing you want remembered. Design decisions get easy once this is written down.
Explore directions
Two or three genuinely different territories, shown in context — signage, screen, print — rather than as logos floating on white.
Refine and systemise
One direction is taken to completion: full palette, type scale, components, and every lockup you will need.
Roll out
Website, collateral, vehicles, uniforms and profiles updated in a sequence that avoids a half-rebranded look.
How we differ
A fair comparison against how this work is commonly delivered.
| Feature | Algorank | Typical alternative |
|---|---|---|
| Deliverable | System tested on real applications | Logo files in a zip |
| Digital handoff | CSS tokens the build actually uses | PDF guidelines |
| Accessibility | Contrast pairs verified to AA | Not considered |
| Ownership | Full vector source at handover | Flattened exports only |
A good fit if
- The identity no longer matches the quality of the work you deliver
- You are about to rebuild the website and want one coherent system
- The logo breaks down on vehicles, signage or small screens
Probably not for you if
- You need a $200 logo from a marketplace
- You want a rebrand purely to follow a trend, with real recognition to lose
If that is you, say so on the call — we will tell you straight and point you somewhere better.
From experience
The mistakes that cost the most.
Designing the logo before the positioning
Without agreement on who you serve and what you want remembered, every review round becomes a matter of taste and the work stalls.
Never testing the mark at small sizes
A detailed emblem that sings on a billboard turns to mud as a 32px favicon or an embroidered shirt. We test both before you approve.
Rebranding a name that already has equity
If Ottawa customers recognise the name, throwing it away costs more than it gains. Sharpen first; replace only with a reason.

Questions
Still unsure? Call +1 (613) 416-9512 and speak to the person who would run the project.
How much does branding cost?
+
A focused logo and identity package typically runs $2,500 to $6,000. A full identity with print collateral, signage and vehicle graphics generally lands between $6,000 and $15,000. Bundled with a website build, most of the discovery work is shared, which lowers the combined cost.
Should I rebrand before rebuilding my website?
+
If the identity is genuinely holding you back, yes — settle it first so the site is built in the final system. If the brand is merely dated, we often refresh the palette and type alongside the build rather than starting from zero.
Will a rebrand affect my Google rankings?
+
A visual rebrand alone does not. Changing your domain or business name does, and that requires a redirect plan, updated Google Business Profile, citation updates and monitoring — which we handle as part of the project.
Do I own the files?
+
Yes. You receive full ownership plus editable source and vector files at handover. No licensing games.
