01
The challenge
Commercial GC work is awarded on delivered projects and perceived capacity. The firm's completed builds — offices, retail fit-outs, multi-unit sites — existed only as photographs on a phone, with nothing online for developers, architects or property managers to evaluate.
02
Our approach
We led with full-bleed build photography and a restrained dark palette so finished work carries the page, then structured a project archive where each build states sector, scope and scale. Capability content — design-build, fit-out, base building, project management — was written into indexed pages so commercial searches have something concrete to match.
03
The outcome
A portfolio-first commercial site that reads like a firm capable of the next contract, with a direct line from project browsing to an enquiry.
Design decisions
Three choices that made the difference.
Build photography given the whole viewport
Commercial clients judge a contractor on finished space. Every hero and project card runs edge-to-edge imagery of completed fit-outs and base-building work at full scale, with type kept quiet so nothing competes with the evidence.
A project archive structured like a capability statement
Each build is recorded with sector, scope and delivery method rather than a caption, so a developer or property manager can scan for a project comparable to their own in seconds — the same question every tender shortlist starts with.
Capability pages written for commercial search
Design-build, tenant fit-out, base building and construction management each get their own explained page instead of a services list, giving the site real surface area for commercial construction queries in the Ottawa market.
What the site was built to be found for
Built for commercial-side demand: commercial general contractor Ottawa, office and retail fit-out, design-build construction and tenant improvement searches made by developers, architects, property managers and business owners planning a space.
Where we would take it next
Adding written project narratives with budget bands and delivery timelines, plus a client-side references section aimed squarely at tender evaluation.
What we built
- —Cinematic home page anchored on completed-project photography
- —Project archive with sector, scope and scale on every entry
- —Capability pages for design-build, fit-out, base building and construction management
- —Enquiry form routed to the estimating team
- —Organisation and LocalBusiness structured data for commercial construction
Responsive build
The same site, engineered for the phone in your customer's hand.
Tap-to-call in the header, a quote action always in reach, and images sized for mobile data. The mobile view is not a shrunken desktop — it is the primary design.
